Default Any Ideas??

Some of you may remember that a couple of weeks ago my coupe wouldn't start...wouldn't even turn over, so I replaced the ignition switch, and the starter.

Well, now it's doing it again! I just went to start her up, and all the lights inside come on, but she doesn't turn over...I hear a single "click" from the engine bay when I turn the key, like the starter is trying to engage...but it won't. The temperature is 4 F outside...and it was wet yesterday, could my brand new starter be frozen? Help

TIA

Default Maybe your battery doesn't have enough cold cranking amps?

What does the volt gauge read?

Default hmmm...it has been fine, even in the -10 degree temps we had...

up here in VT a couple of weeks ago. The battery is probably due to be replaced, but shouldn't it at least "try" to start the car, not just sit there silently?

Possible bad ground too. Clean battery terminals and the croundstrap connections.

I thought the click was heard when the battery didn't have enough voltage to start the car...

Doesn't the solenoid click at a relatively high rate? This is a single click

Default So I just tried it again w/my diagnostic senses active and..

I turned on the dome light, then turned the key, and the light didn't dim, which would tell me that the battery is not the problem, but a connection somewhere might be. I think I will try the battery connections right now. Damn I wish I had a heated garage at my house...
