Default any ideas? (88 90)

I was driving on the highway yesterday, probably going about 75-80 most of the way, suddenly my car jerks,my rpm gauge goes straight to zero the check engine light come on and i was losing power gradually(the accelerator was not working for a few seconds. I kept pumping the pedal then everything started working fine.I drove abit more lets say for about 20 minutes then it did it again but this time the check engine light came on accompanied by the oil looking thing (the kettle looking thingy with a drop of oil). I pulled to the side of the highway checked my oil. My oil level seemed ok though it was extremely dark. checked under car for leaks looked around engine though saw nothing. Not sure if this is helpful, but has anyone had any kind of troubles in regards to oil?

I'm not certain the oil has anything to do with this.

I would guess that this is fuel injector failure.

Default Make sure you buy a fuel filter too! Because...........

all the garbage from the pump going bad will end up in the filter!

They have been know to completly clog! ;O)

Before you buy a fuel pump, do you happen to have a spare fuel pump relay to test the old fuel pump relay?

I have seen the FP relays go bad, and make it look like it was a FP. ;O)
