Any special preference on OIL FILTERS besides dealers???

What do you think about Fram and Purolator? They seem to be so visble in every auto supply.

search the web for an oil filter study. there should be one out there it blows away any oil filter you'll find at autozone.

Stick with Bosch!

All Oem sells them roughly $7 the more you buy the better the price.

Do not use fram!

Most the oil filters say fram and others don't have an anti-drainback valve in the filter. The filters are also alot smaller putting an oil restriction to the motor. I use Bosch on my 95 quattro with the 12V 6. I think Mahle is alright to use too. The Bosch and Mahle filters are a little more expensive but go with Fram's saying " Pay a little now or a lot later"!
