Default Anyone converted the AC system on a 90-91 coupe to the new refrigerant?

The mechanic scheduled to do mine said that some Audis have small condensors which along with the new refrigerant, don't perform well. Anyone have any experience with this?

Should I care?

Default He's BSing you. My AC shop did my conversion in half a day....

new condenser, evaporator, hoses and oil for compressor plus recharge to R134a. Practically a new system and it freezes meat. It's gonna cost. Mine was $1500. Guess Ill hold on to the CQ for the rest of my life after this outlay of moolah.
