anyone ever done this??? or heard of it??

i know a few ppl have done the custom speaker box in the trunk , in the spare tire hole on the left, and just in the bottom of the trunk itself..but i dont really want it in either area so im thinkin about building a box in the ski bag area...i just wanna cut that thing out since i never use it and put the sub there.
it would be a good area and wouldnt take up any trunk space..right now i just have my 10in MB quart in a box in the trunk and my "real" spare tire (not a donut) just chillin in the trunk and that pretty much ocupys my entire trunk space..not that i really use my trunk but u know.
im thinkin about gettin solo barics since how there square, great speakers too..but i really dont wanna let go of my MB quart...anyone ever see/do this???

yes, actually......
in a '87 jetta, that a guy i know used to own. there was a 10" sub there, when you folded the armrest down, there was a metal grate there, covering the sub, and you could see right through the grate to the sub. it was pretty cool, actually...you can hide the sub w/ the armrest, or show it off, if you want.

had a box template done for mine, but the problem was cuft, no enough of it once you calcuate wood
and sub displacement.
The skibag just unbolts, so no need to cut anything! pull the backseat, then simply unbolt it.
I ended up using two 8" solobaric subs in a temp 'sonotube' box, and strapped it up in the trunk. (I have pics of the whole process, but have yet to do a write up about it...) yeah, it a little ghetto, but it sounds great.
I was planning on revisiting the project when I had more time and build a fiberglass enclosure...
