Anyone ever have a loose cam sprocket chain?

Default Anyone ever have a loose cam sprocket chain?
I have this rattling type noise under my valve cover, and the noise sounds sorta like that. I can't imagine why it would be loose but that's all I can think of without taking it apart. What else could cause this noise, Any ideas? It's been happening for about 8 months now but seems to be getting more persistent now.
Just wondering so far, I may take it apart next weekend for an inspection but I'm a bit worried about what I'll find...

eBay has them all the time. How sure are you that it is not the distributor?

Default I checked it before the June TR Rallycross, removed all slop there.
The noise still exists though.

I thoroughly looked for any sign of a loose heat shield above and below.. That aint it
