Default CAPS are easy to wire. Connect a good ground to the ground terminal of the cap...

...then connect the Power lead you have coming from your battery to the +ve terminal of the cap which in turn goes along to your Amp's 12v terminal.

Unless you're running over 500watts of power, you don't really need a CAP. You probably need a new battery or perhaps your alternator is starting to show it's age.

Default Re: as said before.. in parallel with the amp

and it's farad not farat. 1 farad at 12volts will hold a ****load of charge, make sure you don't cross the terminals because it will act as a welder and fry anything that conducts good enough. And get the polarity right because most caps will explode when connected backwards.

be careful when hooking it up also, at first it will try to draw an infinite amount of current -> battery may boil if it is small enough. But if this is the case then you needed to upgrade your battery instead.

Default Re: oh ya, diagram ;) update...

Ground 0--------------0----------------0 AMP -
|
(CAP -)
-------
xxxxxxx
-------
(CAP +)
|
12V 0-----------------0----------------0 AMP +

'0' represents a connection

since this isnt posting correctly, the cap - and cap + connect to those two 0 in the middle of ground and 12v

enjoy
