Anyone know a source for custom hub welding / drilling? (5 lug conversion info...)
Yes I know, 5x112 hubs can be easily swapped in for a 5 lug conversion, but the wheel selection for us typ89er's is still not that great (most 16" & 17" wheels are too wide to run coming in at 8"). So a while back I had spoken with Rich (billzcat1) who was going to weld and re-drill my hubs to a 5x110 (same as a VW Jetta/ Golf) which would give hundreds of wheels offered in 17x7/7.5 and give me the possibility of going to R32 brembo brakes in the front.
It has been a few years since I have contacted him and unfortunately lost his information (as well as his site is no more). Anyone have any insight as to who can do this for me (or know how to get ahold of Richard?)

Richards out of the audi scene, You could just redrill a set of 5x112 hubs to 5x100..
Since the bolt pattern does not overlap with 5x112. That means there would be no welding required (bad idea if you ask me).

I second the "bad idea" ...
Without the welding there will be weak spots between the bolt holes... pass on that. Even having them welded has me a tad worried but Rich was saying it wouldnt be an issue. Regardless I will keep my eyes open...

Convert to 5x112 and get these...
