I'm in the middle of my brake conversion using the following and I'm trying to figure out what rear disk options will work. I purchased A6 288mm rotors thinking that they were very close to what I need. It turns out they are, except for the offset which is way too small. It appears that the rotor offset needs to be exactly the same for front and rear with these calipers(59.5mm).
Front:
996 calipers (Boxster S)
RS2 brackets
UrS4 5x112 hubs
A8 rotors 323x30 with 59.5mm offset.
The front setup looks perfect after the recommended pin filing etc.
Rear:
996 rear calipers (Boxster S)
B5 A4 5x112 hubs
RS2 brackets
Mystery rotors...
the optimal dimensions would be 298x23 with a 59.5mm offset but this rotor does not seem to exist. I've been searching Brembo's website for 3 days and looking everywhere I can think of for possible solutions... nada :\
Now the closest I've gotten is an UrS6 Rear rotor, 269x22 with a 59.3mm offset.
The question is can I use this rotor, with 29mm smaller diameter... Meaning .57" smaller radius?
Just curious if anyone's tried this, cos it seems to me the pads are gonna be hanging off the disk quite a bit if I go this route.
I could also go with the Porsche rotors I received with the calipers, if I slot them down to 5X112, and then put a spacer behind em. But the center hole is much larger so I'd be relying on the lugs to center the rotor.
hmmmmmmmmmm
any thoughts?

doing for my 90. I have BoxsterS rear calipers as well as S8 rear rotors. The final ingredient is to design and cut specific brackets to place the caliper properly over the rotor.
I know you are doing it to a B3, but the principle is the same. I drew my inspiration from this picture:

Some B4 rear hub-related info regarding putting large rotors back there.. (might be old hat to some)
