I am thinking about diving into the Audi Quattro 90 world, but am a bit confused about the different models. What exactly is the difference between the Quattro and the Quattro Sport? Does the body look the same on both models?

CS basically comes with everything except the three gauges, sport seats, spoiler option, Stiff springs, sporty shocks, and sport wheels..
It changes from year to year but thats pretty much the story as I know it.

1) Sport seats.
2) 5-spoke aluminum wheels (as opposed to 9).
3) Extra gauges in console just above the ashtray.
Now the deficiencies: the sport quattro was a reduced price version of the 90s and was only sold as such in '95. There was a '94 quattro sport which was a different car -- see below.
4) No 90s badge.
5) No remote locking.
6) No automatic climate control.
7) No Bose radio.
8) Cloth upholstery only, no leather.
Keep the following in mind: In '94 there was a Sport option package which added the 5-spoke wheels and the gauges to the standard 90s.
Some dealers ordered '95s this way and the price was 5 to 7k more than the Sport quattro.

The 1995 Audi 90 Quattro Sport was the bottom of line for Quattro 90s that year. Conversely, the 1994 Audi 90 Quattro Sport was the top the line of that year (in addition, this particular Sport model for 94, had a slightly different body)?

I would say that the Sport was intended to be a sports sedan, and the CS was intended to be a luxury sedan..
I would rather have the extra gauges and recaro seats than an automatic transmission and climate control.. some would rather have the later..

I have a 1995 90Q. According to the VIN# on carfax and the person I bought it from it is a 90 quattro SPORT. However, it has climate control, it has 10-spoke wheels, it has leather seats, it has no spoiler, and it does not have the three guages above the ash tray. Is this not really a sport model?
