Default He has a I.8T engine transplant...

in his Audi 80. I've seen it and it is a pretty good conversion. I believe he's got it chipped now, so I bet it's pretty fast...

Default If things keep going as I plan and I drop an S4 engine into my 90...

I'll take your sweetheart 1.8 on. And whosever 80 that is too. But we'll see if I even do it. I've got money but no clue what I wanna do with it yet.

Default Standard 1.8T smoke my car?!?! Let me think about this...

My 20V is UK spec and, as standard, produces 170HP. The weight of it is 1180KG - its not a Quattro. Top speed, 138mph.

Your 1.8T is U.S. spec (?) and, as standard, produces 150HP. The weight of it is 1382KG if its not a Quattro. Top speed, 130mph.

20V = 140HP per Tonne
1.8T = 110HP per Tonne

This leads me to believe that I would "smoke" a standard 1.8T on the road and on a track.
Mind you, a 210HP 1.8T is another matter... 150HP per Tonne ~;p
Oh, and my car is the true 20V - 5 cylinders! ~;D

Seriously, I love all Audi's including the A4 - one day, when I have the money...!

my car is the 4th one down. These pictures and write up were done when the motor was first installed so a lot of up dating has happened since then.

Default engines in the 20v 90?

What are people thinking about either putting an s4 engine into a 20v 90cs, or could someone get the uppipes and headers and turbos from a s4 and actually twin turbo the 20v vr 90cs engine? Of couse you would need an aftermarket ECU such as a TEC II or Motec, but I would think this is very possible? How strong are the internals on the 20v motor? I would like some feedback on engine swapping and engine strenght on the 1994 Audi 90cs quattro or FWD, cause I have yet to buy one but would like one to be stupid fast (250 real horsepower not bolt on stupidity)
Thanks guys
