Hi Guys
I have a 1994 Audio 90s and the windshield washer fluid reservoir leaks when I pour water in it. The washer pump doesn't work either and probably needs replacing. How do I get to the washer pump? Is it in the bottom of the reservoir? I probably have to take the inside fender well out right?
Thanks

Hey,
My windshield washer pump does not work either. I have not gotten around to fixing it just yet, but I have scoped it out. The reservoir is in the driver's side fender area and should be easy enough to get to with the wheel taken off (I don't know for sure the cover may need to go too). There is a pump right below the reservoir (it is either the windshield washer pump or the headlight washer pump or both). It should be relatively easy to get too as well.
In reading this post over again, I realize that nothing I have written is incredibly useful. Hopefully it helps a little.

you do have to remove the fender liner, or at least a portion of it to replace the windshield and headlight washer pumps... (yes, there is two of them) you also need to find out if your reservor is craked
good luck :-)

Had the same issue last winter. Turned out to be that a hose had popped off...not a crack in the tank. Remove inner wheel well cover (just take out front bolts and pull it our off the way...no need to remove the rear part). Both pumps are accessible and I will bet you the hose has popped off. Pretty rare for the tank to crack without some sort of damage to the front end or severe temperatures. Don't leave it too long as I did...my pumps all seized up with not using them and had to be replaced.

Thank you guys for your help. With your descriptions I was able to access the windshield water pumps and locate the crack in the tank. It gets pretty cold here in the winter and I am guessing some ding-a-ling filled it up with straight water so if froze and cracked.
Another silly question. Where is the button in the car to spray the headlights with washer fluid!!?
Thanks

That's right....when you pull the lever to spray the wind shield the headlights get it as well. You will find that you use A LOT of fluid if you keep them operational as the headlights get a real soaking.

both wrong. headlights sprayers only spray if the lights are turned on.
