Auto-2-Manual install complete!
Finished it up this afternoon!
All the mechanicals went well. Bolted right in!
Found out the electrical needed a bit of brain work to figure out. Tried starting the car yesterday, and nothing! Hmmmmm?
Found it to be one of the relays from the autotrans. Jumped 2 pins, and Walla! Starts right up! Spent a few minutes reading wiring diagrams.........
The exhaust system fits. Had to fabricate a hanger for the left cat.
All-in-all, pretty straight forward install.
Now the good part!
It drives wonderful! Simply awesome! Just what I wanted! I can keep the engine in its powerband much better with the manual, and all my mods function much better!
I'm very happy with the 5-speed!

The automatic shifted gears at pre-determined rpms
programmed into the computer. This programming seems to be the "ideal" shift point for economy and fuel range. Not "performance".
The 5-speed gearbox allows me to shift the engine within its powerband range, there by optimizing
acceleration.
Quite a noticable differance.
My wife even noticed, stating "Wow, its got alot more power!"
So you know if the wife notices.........
