Auto to manual seat swap?

Ok, I searched the forum. I've come up with varying info. Some say swap the metal bottom so the manual seats will fit. Others say it requires cutting/welding. I hope it's the first...?
Also, is it true that the '95 90 LED heated seat switched won't work in my '90 20v? I think I heard that the switch will smoke? Or is that the other way around?

...otherwise, the side rails between the power and manual seats are the same. So pretty much, I think what you need to do is weld in that middle support bracket that the front of the seat attaches to in order to slide.
When we did the manual --> power seat mod in my car, we had to cut that bracket off/out.
