ya i have the resorces to do all this. i have a shop to work in and every tool imaginable, and some not, to do what i need. like i said i was just looking into this since i haven't done much with these german cars so was looking for some input from people like you who may have already been on the brink of suicide doing this stuff so i knew how tight a noose i was gonna need! lol!

its my first audi yes, i've done the VW and BMW, thing b4 as my reliable reasonable vehicles while i did all my stupid custom crap to my chevy's and buicks mostly. i got this ar as a reliable driver and a few months past i did the timing belt/waterpump,etc. and then one more little thing. then another little thing and it's "little thinged my to death lately to the point that i've spent more than the cars worth but was just hit on my bike last summer so funds are tough trying to maintain and get my broken *** out to fix this thing for the time being. but it needs to get done so...like you said. i REALLY do like the car.. but right now... not so much

Since you have the resources and ability...it should be straight forward.
Using MikTips and others info of who have done this conversion will get you through this. Well maybe you can do a full picturial and write-up.

i just talked to a local Audi shop and i'll be able to handle it no problem. once i get all the parts i'll do my best to do a full pictoral and write up of the whole thing and any problems that arise, but other than some part swaps and some scraped knuckles and time we should be good. thanks all!
