Default B3 stock bumper cover mounting brackets...

The stock bumper cover I have for my 90 has a broken plastic mounting bracket piece. This is the piece that is supposed to slide on to the bottom of the fender and hold the bumper cover onto the side of the car. My bumper right now just hangs there. Dealer said I would have to get another bumper :-/. Which I'm not surprised they would say that. Does anyone have one of these. It's the bracket that is attached to the inside of the driver-side bumper cover. I bought the car as is...and that was already broken off. Thanks alot

Default They are actually

plastic welded to the inside of the bumper. Never seen them available seperately.

If you can find a wrecked bumber you should be able to drill out the four heat-welds and remove the clip. Then you're going to have to do something similar to your bumper and re-attach the clip to it.

Perfect time for a euro-bumper? ;-)

Default I'm having the same issues...

I picked up a spare bumper and it has 2 plugs that are welded through the attachment clip. One of them is broken. But the other is holding on. I think its time to get some of that bumper repair stuff that can be found on a search on these forums. I need that stuff anyways to fix the huge scuff on an otherwise decent bumper assembly.

Default your skill at picking up used 90's drives me nuts.

:P

Any of them have better headlights then mine?

What time do you figure you'll be at my place tonight? Call my cell when you exit the 400...I'll be out doing some SEMA shopping near my house.

Default Better headlights? Well.... maybe cleaner stock ones....

I'm contemplating ordering the Importvision H4's.... not rs2's, but better than stock. Either that, or I get off my azz and finish the custom bmw dual-rounds with H4/H1 conversions.

Now, if only I could get lucky and pick up some cheap 4kq for parts, or another 90q.... can never have too many parts; especially when you (dave) contemplates calling me on a saturday to do a rush subframe drop. (ha... wasn't gonna happen btw!)

The one i'm getting tomorrow really just needs a new tranny; and a new rear tow hook. I discovered what happens when you pull on the stock rear hook at anything more than a 45deg. angle.... that reminds me.... time to make a new tow point on the back of the 90q (and front too). Atleast the control arms are useful.... the subframes sure aren't!

2min drive through window?

Hmph. I'll have to take my business elsewhere ;-)

Default Hah... 2 min drivethru!

2 minute drivethru.... this ain't no McD's! I imagine by the time I had finished what i was doing and had gotten the car into the barn and started pulling the subframe, you would have driven the 3 hours to my place!

Exhaust stuff..... what kinda stuff you got? Baby needs a new exhaust.... Luxus Panzer made the comment last night that it sounds more like a V8 mustang than an Audi.

Not sure what i'm charging for the belts.... what's a ticket worth to ya! I actually couldn't get one of the flexibe rear belt-receivers... the dual clip one.... too dark out, and not enough time... so you've got one flexy and one solid mount from a front seat. You'll see tonight.... and we can always exchange the one solid mount for a flexy once I rip it out of the other parts car.
