Default b4 fuel pump question

on the b4 how tricky is it to get to your fuel pump/filter? I replaced my pump and filter on my 88, it was not exactly easy but with patience and good tools it happened.
i noticed the b4 has the same setup with everything being packed high and tight.
to gain any clearance it looks like things have to be dropped down.
one difference i noticed between the b3 to b4 is that the b4 must use a rubber hose on the pump outlet whereas the b3 has a threaded guide. Threaded is more of a pita, but way more durable.
comments or any tricks on this?
btw I already did a forum search and did'nt come up with anything useful

B4, pumps inside gas tank. B4 filter is external, not too bad.
