Default B4 Injector Recall Update!

It was brought to my attention, a concern, over the injectors installed on 1993-1995 Audi V6's.
Mainly due to a recall, the injectors were suppose to be replaced, by Audi, if you had certain injectors(old) in the car. The recall paperwork read if you had "gray" colored injectors, they were to be replaced. Problem is Audi installed new gray injectors! You must get the part number off your gray injectors.

My 1993 90 was done back in 1999, at Audi in Atlanta, GA. Originally my 90 had all black injectors, so when they dealership put in the gray topped ones, I thought I was good to go!

I phoned Audi of Atlanta, and they person who tried to help, couldnt. So I phoned Audi of America. Gave them my injector part number
(078 133 551N), and I was told the following day, that those injectors(078 133 551N) were good to go! ;O)

So, see if you can read the injector part numbers, and post back with any problems. ;O)

Default Re: B4 Injector Recall Update!

sounds good.....i have the paperwork from a dealership showing the recall work as done....so i would assume they put the correct ones on. I believe they list the new injector parts # so i can then look it up and see if its correct. thanks for the update...my car runs sweet....idles dead on....so I would think all is well

Default Er.....

The old injectors cause an engine fire...NOT a lumpy idle.

Default And here's my KS injector recall update for the B4...

I took my '95 in yesterday for the KS injector recall. Something must be different with Miktip's 93. I recall the update has some crap about the '93s being different.

But anyway, the recall allows for a rental car while the recall is being done, so I'm now pimpin' in a new TT Cq. So that's nice.

Anyhoo, maybe it's just the case on my '95, but the recall supposedly only covers seals on the fuel rail, not replacement of the injectors. So what the hell is the deal?!

I'm gunna call AoA and check on this. Doesn't seem right. W/ my luck, the damned injectors will F up right after they're done replacing these seals.

Anyone have feedback or experience on this?

Default So I called AoA about info on the recall, then I called the dealer...

So I called AoA, and they said the kit includes a fuel rail AND injectors. So I called the dealer. Yeah, they had the right part # they were SUPPOSED to order, but, they didn't order it. Good job... way to order all the stuff on time. The kit, part # 078 133 651H, retails for $361, though. At $361, I DOUBT there are injectors included, but who knows... it's a recall.

Any thoughts Miktip?
