That was me with the temp display problem.
Got it sorted out though. You can't split the signal from the exterior temp sensor. Luckily, this doesn't seem to play a role in the climate controls figuring for interior temperature control and is solely for the temperature display on the head unit. The computer only uses the ambient sensor at the intake point at the base of the window.
So, I cut the exterior temp wire and used that to send the info to the display in the cluster. If you hit the outside temp button on the ACC head unit it will display the temp according to the ambient sensor, which in the city can show up to a full 10 degree difference, but on the highway is only 1-3 degrees different.

Not sure. It's not that hard to do
If you can solder and get use butt splicers you could do this project. Heck, if you don't mind cutting into your existing climate harness you can do it all with just butt splicers.
But if people are seriously interested I could make a few. Just need to source the connectors on the back of the old B3 climate control unit. Also I'd need the connectors + wiring that go to the harness on the B4 HVAC box. You'd still have to do a bit of wiring to the temp display, AC relay, and RPM signal, but it's nothing too complicated.
