Default Back to exhaust again...what size is the stock exhaust piping on a B4q?

There seems to be some conflict (while searching) as to which catco cats to use...some say it's 2.5" others say 2.25", anyone?

Default Also, Miktip, you upgraded the size of the piping on your 90, correct?

If so, what did you go to, and from what point back did you go to it?

Thanks! þ

Default The size varies throughout the stock exhaust. It's 2.25" most of the way...

I don't think it ever hits 2.5" anywhere. I'm running 2.5" pipe (like miktip). I have a magnaflow y pipe after the cats, the magnaflow resonator, then a larger magnaflow in the rear. We have pretty similar setups because in the end I used his layout. I had a few other layouts before this and I definitely like the magnaflow setup the best.

So where does your system go to 2.5" after your cats?

Default Quattro setup is different...

But i think the cats are the same, only different from the cat-back.

All of the major exhaust components are different...cats, middle muffler, rear...

Default After the flanges behind the cats, yes...

But like Brdman* says... quattro vs fwd is going to be a little different.

Default What's the advantage of going to 2.5" after the cats? Isn't the biggest restiriction the smallest..

...diamater piping?

Default That's what ETKA lists for the exhaust clamps and such...

...didn't know if that was the diameter of the pipe, or the size of the clamps though. What would be the closest to 60mm? 60mm=2.36" so a 2.25" inlet/outlet cat would be too small, so go up to a 2.5"?
