is this that big valve head i have been hearing about?

Depends on the year, but judging from the pic.........

and looking at the intake valve, and it closeness to the exhaust valve, I'd say "yes!"
Email the guy, ask'm what year its from, and have him measure the intake valve, in mm's. ;O)

Not a "big valve head"
No turbo model heads have the larger valves found in the NF and NG heads. The turbo cars use 38mm intake valves and 33mm exhaust valves with sodium filled stems.
The NF/NG use 40mm intake valves and conventional 33mm exhaust valves.
The 40mm valves can be retrofitted to the MC/KH head and the MC/KH 33mm sodiums can be retrofitted to the NF/NG heads.
