Default Bilstein sport rear FWD sleeve, needee or not?

am I suppose to reuse thar metal slleeve that comes stock? I feel that without it my rear end would drop the inch or so that that thing is.

More description: after the rear stock Boge's are remove, the and the shock housing in painstakingly taken off, there are a few rubber bushing a sleeve that covers some thread then the cup. To remove the cup the sleeve must come off.

guys please inform me ASAP on this one. This project is going way too long and I really wanna finish it.

Thanx guys!
