Blauparts.com issue
Hi guys, I recently purchased several parts form Blauparts.com for my 1995 90 sport quattro. Everything but the rear tie rod I purchased fits perfect. The rear tie rod blauparts sent looks identical to mine but its 1 inch longer. Blauparts labeling states its for audi's 93-02. the manufacturers sticker says (in Italian i think)Barra Sterzo DXSX Audi A4 the OCAP part number is 0502196. Are they all the same or are they different? On Blauparts website, it shows a different one for the A4 but it looks identical in the picture. There in house part number refers to it as
Audi Rear Tie Rod Assembly - 90 1993-95 : ME12056-C
Audi Rear Tie Rod Assembly - A4 1996-01 : ME12056-A
Audi Rear Tie Rod Assembly - S4 2000-02 : ME12056-B
the actual OCAP part # 0502196
This is confusing because on the box the Blauparts sticker says "tie rod Assm Rr Audi 93-02 DP : ME12056
note the stick on the item doens't have the letters at the end and the years it shows spans the years of all 3 listings on there site.
Are they suppose to be all the same? Its definitely longer then either side on my car currently. I know if I installed it the toe would be all messed up even with the toe adjuster all the way in It still would align properly.
Any Guru's have a clue about this part?

Ok after talking with blauparts.com and cross referencing the actual audi part number showed that blauparts has the incorrect listing for the rear tie rod for the 93-95 audi 90 quattro. They are selling the A4 part which is indeed longer by 1 inch.
the 95-2001 A4 audi part # is 8D0501530
the 92-96 80/90/advant audi part # is 8A0501530C
visually they look identical, but when you get them side by side the difference is noticable. the A4 part is longer.
blauparts.com is working on correcting it so this won't happen again. If you didn't notice the size difference during the install you wouldn't know it was a different part, it will bolt up and work, but the toe of the rear tires will be grossly off.

RM euro is also selling the A4 rear tie under 90 which is incorrect.
ETKA clearly shows 8A0501530C as the correct 93-95 B4Q rear tie rod.
I wish these places would get their act together.
The correct version they do not list. It would seem the dealer might be the safe but $$ route to go so you get the right part.
