OK...I tried to get the blower motor out this morning. I have removed the bottom cover and glove box. Loosened all the screws holding in the blower and when I try and pull the blower out...it hits the duct in the dash and does not clear it. I tried twisting and pulling and rotating every which way with no luck. Is there something else I have to remove to get some more clearance? Is there a trick to this? I may be an Audi newb, but I am pretty mechanically inclined and this has me frustrated! Almost started removing the dash, but I thought I would check in here first!

That's odd. Mine in my coupe just slid right out when I removed the 3 bolts holding it up. And the duct piece you talked about was right there also. Should come right out.

Thinking mine might he a bit different as there are 4 phillips screws that hold the fan motor to the air box. Plus, looking at the pics posted of the fan blades....mine is black in colour and theirs seems to be beige in colour. Maybe a slight difference between the CQ and CS model maybe?

I don't think so. The one I have is beige in colour from my parts car (Cq) and the one in my coupe now is black. Both worked and are working just fine! Throw me a pic of what you have if you can!
