Default Broken shift linkage

Went to shift into reverse tonight and heard a clunk and there was nothing, just free play. Got underneath and it looks like the rod for the gearbox and the shifting box were spot welded in three places and they all broke free. I'm running a 2B 6 speed. Has anyone ever taken apart the shift linkage or installed it when the exhaust and driveshaft were in place? I'd hate to tear the whole car apart to get to it but will if I have to. All help is greatly appreciated.

Default If you can get the shaft on the tranny into a low gear so the little bolt is pointing to the right..

You can get a 10mm socket on a long extention on it. 13mm for the bottom of the shift lever. Getting if apart is easy, getting it back together... that's the hard part if you don't have easy access.

Default Is there only one bolt on the linkage at the gearbox?

I see the 10mm bolt at the gearbox but didn't think that was all that held it together. Does it just pop out of the big fitting that I see below that? I've already got it apart at the shifter, just need the long connection to the gearbox apart so I can get them re-welded.

Default

Would it work with the 2B 6 speed without any modification?

Default If the linkage system is a 1 piece...

like standard B3's and B4's have then it will fit right in. If not then you will need a different part. I am almost certain that they are the same.

Yup, just the one little bolt, it has a point on it that fits into a dimple on the shaft.
