Cabbie Transmission shifting early, near-stalls, etc.
OK... everything is almost done for Spring. But, I hjave a Vacuum leak that is proving difficult to find.
Where is the vacuum-actuated sensor that talks to the transmission?
Also, it seems that my most frequent shifting and near stalling issues are had when I have my foot on the brake or right after I take my foot off (I cleaned the ICV about 6 months, 5K miles ago). Is there a way to tell if there's a leak by the brake booster? My dealer mechanic says that winter-stored cars can develop issues with the check-valve holding vacuum, and that spritzing the innards with WD-40 can loosen them up and restore them to full function.
Does any of this ring any bells?
Thanks!

Please disregard above (oops, forgot... BELOW). I found out the restrictor (#13 on our vacuum diagram) was sticking. I pulled it, WD40-ed it, and swapped out about 10 pieces of old, stiff vacuum line around the airbox while I was at it.
Interesting how this vehicle feels now, operating at normal vacuum levels.
As for the idle drop, I bent the little red WD hose and inserted it into top of the opening of the ICV. Just a few drops was all it took. I guss I'm just going to need to keep on top of that, since the vehicle is only running 6 months out of the year.
