cabriolet gas gauge
the gas guage in my '98 cabriolet has a mind of its own. when I put gas in, it works fine but then the arrow goes to 'E' after a short time. What is causing that, and is it an expensive repair?

Sounds like you have all the same problems I just fixed in my 97 Cab...
My gear selector light was out and both the gas and temp guages where acting up. I ended up buying a used cluster with only 44k on the clock and swaping parts to make one fully functional cluster.
