I have a 95 cabriolet, the drivers window started acting goofy a few days ago, when I would first get into the car it would not go down and none of the window switches on the doors would opperate the windows, only the all down button on the console would work and then after driving a bit and playing with the switch for the drivers window it would finally go down and all the switches would work again. it is now stuck in the down position i took out the switches cleaned contacts and even moved them around still driver door window will not operate. is this a motor or possibly a relay somewhere?

i took the panel off and tried direct power to window motor and it doesn't go up. so i a think it is a bad motor.

Wiring issue...Check the wiring in the door hinge area (its in rubber bellows).
