I've got an 88 80 with an aftermarket DEI (Rattler, Viper, etc.) alarm. When i put The key in the driver door it will just turn and nothing will happen. Instead of fixing that b/c the door still locks and unlocks I would like to fit an actuator on either the passanger or driver door b/c when they unlock or lock that would unlock/lock all of my doors. Is this an easy install? Thanks for your help!

Your alarm doesn't have keyless entry? If your key doesn't work in your driver's door, it could be the actual locking mechanism. Is it supposed to disarm your aftermarket alarm too?

I'm not too familiar with the locking system in the 80s, but my 90 unlocks and locks all doors when the key's used ...

The alarm has keyless entry, but the car itself doesn't. I would need an actuator.

It's a bitch hooking it up to german locking systems, but can be done. If your doors have to be locked/unlocked independently (are they manual locks, or is the power lock part busted?), then you'll need actuators in all doors.

they driver door key part doesn't work, i'm not sure what the hell the problem is. But it still locks/unlocks just fine. Whenever i lock/unlock that driver or the passenger all of the doors do the same. So i'll need an actuator in either the passenger or driver door so all the doors do the same.
