Can anyone tell me how you're supposed to get the timing belt cover off a type 89?

Default Can anyone tell me how you're supposed to get the timing belt cover off a type 89?

I was working on my timing belt R&R today and I could not, for the life of me get off the timing belt cover secured by those two....things. Any btdt plz

With an allen wrench or hex socket.

Default if it's a 7A then there are several small (8mm?) bolts

You need to remove the metal lower cover IIRC (after taking belts off alternator, PS, and A/C). then look carefully. There are between 2 and 4 of them I can't recall exactly... I believe its 4 though.

Default Two 8mm or 10mm hex head'd bolts, plus the two socket head fasteners.

Exact same as the 10v ;-)
