Can anyone tell me what this is....

Its from my 90, 88, 2.3
I was trying to clean the hose connecting to the isv and boom it broke. It looks to be capable of releasing small amounts of air.

oh and get new rubber hose from ace hardware to replace bottom hose, old stuff is dead
i got some stuff that was 30 cents a foot and around 6mm internal diameter, fits very snug, don't even need clamps
