Default Can anyone who's removed their steering wheel help me identify this part??

I removed my wheel today and pulled the headlight/blinker switch to clean it up. -My low beams failed a while back due to poor contact in the switch. The switch is now repaired but as I was reassembling everything I found a piece that dropped out while I was disassembling it and I have no idea where it goes or what it is.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It's made of brass I believe and it's about 7/8" long. It has a "1" and a "b" on it and a little barb like tab that sticks out at the bottom.

-The piece did not come from the switch internals but either the airbag or the wheel assembly itself or something
Thanks,
Marty
