my #14 fuse keeps blowing as soon as i turn my parkign lights on, something must be tripped inside, what could it be????? what would happen if i put a 10A or 15A would it work except for a longer period or would it altogether burn my wiring?

I still think that they hooked their amp in wrong, if it all started with that. I know when I first installed my Blaupunkt, I was unsure of where to hook a wire that was supposed to get +12VDC (it was the memory wire I think?). Hooked it in with another +12VDC wire, and I'd blow the fuse for the dash lights. Switched one of the offending wires to a switched source, left the mem. wire on an "always on". No problems since. If they hooked something in wrong, it likely shorted something else which is causing the problem. DO NOT try and mask the problem by installing a larger amperage fuse. That is by far the most illogical and unsafe thing you could do in this situation. Unless like SLAB said, you enjoy making S'mores over an open car-wiring fire in lieu of a camp fire.

You can't see it up close, but just about every wire on this harness is melted together, because a fuse didn't do the job. You don't want to do that job.
