Default Can I spray carb cleaner on the electrical connector of ISV ??

Im asking because on 20v.org it says that i should put the ISV in the carb cleaner for 1 hour or 2 . Im wondering if it could damage the electronical connector !

Thx

Default No..

Dont get any of the electrical parts wet.. Just try to get the portion that opens and shuts soaked.

Default Even better, use brake cleaner - it doesn't eat up plastic & rubber like carb clnr...

... and cleans out the gunk just as well. Also, if you use any type of silicone spray or WD-40 to lube the ISV after you have it all clean, be SURE it is completely dry before reinstalling the ISV. Silicone can ruin your Oxygen Sensor.
