Default Can I transplant an ECU for the 2.3L 20v that was meant for a different vehicle into my 1990 CQ?

Here's the ECU I want to use:
Hitachi mms-04b e3 00483
Audi p/n: 893 906 266BA
It's in Germany, so it's safe to say it's Euro spec and was probably for a different vehicle other than the CQ.

I haven't had a chance to look at what my stock ECU part number is. Anyone with this vehicle know what the stock ECU part number is?

Default I bought Hitachi injectors from the UK, and the #'s matched up, so I'd say there is a good chance.

and if it's really cheap why not? What is your source over there?

That PN can be found in the early (Hitachi ISV, SS-EL-header) 7A powered cars, in the USA.

Default sure no problem. I checked ETKA and it does list this part number as a valid ECU, but I just don't

know if my VIN meets the VIN split called out parts catalog. I'm too lazy to go out and check the VIN (still not titled yet).

Default Eric said that the PN you gave was for early Cq's. ALL Ginster Cq's are early . . .

. . . pre-airbag with headers. Buy the ECU.
