I couldn't scan my 94 cab with the Vag software, but I found a little diy thingy at www.etoolcart.com Its name is LAUNCH
Its a little OBD1/2 scanner for Audi's , cost me about $70 bucks. You just plug it in, and it spits out codes at you , then reference them in the book. Good tool to have, but it doesn't read measuring blocks or anything. But it does read the Hitachi.
The funny thing is, that Audi went through 4 or 5 different ECM's for the 90's over there production span.
