A few months ago someone backed into me and bent my underhood core assembly enough so that the hood sits about 1/2" higher all around. I had problems opening the hood without someone pushing down on it while pulling the release. Now the thing won't open at all. I got a new core assembly ready to install and I can't get the hood open. Through the grill I removed 2 of the bolts that hold the bracket that secures the latch but I think the hood pins are stuck since the hood doesn't budge. Any suggestion? I'm going to have to let the car sit until I open the hood since I have a coolant leak and haven't added any in a week. I started to overheat a bit last week but was luckily a few miles from home. I've been messing with this all weekend and can't get anywhere.
