Default Cast control arm convert..

Anybody have ever done converting stamped to cast front control arm? Is there any holes on the cast control arms like the stamped ones to mount the front sway bar end link from early model? Any pics of cast control arm please?

Already tried stfa but no result.

Thank you

Default there are no holes...none at all....

sway bar mounts up like the rear on some caars.....right to the strut body

why do you want to convert anyway?

Default Have to convert a larger amount of parts...

than just the arms. The suspension with the cast arms has a larger ball joint which will not mate with the struts you have (larger diameter mounting pin). Then the sway bar will not mount up properly as the mounting is on the strut housing and not the control arm.

You would need the entire two piece strut from a cast control arm CQ, the cast arms from a CQ, ball joints, sway bar, and sway bar links. Pretty much the entire front suspension is needed.

Cheers,

Default Thank you for the reply guys...

I noticed that my right control arm is slightly bent... tried to aligned them so many time, but the caster always slightly off. I was thinking this might be a good time to change to cast control arm. But if it needs to convert a larger amount of parts, I'm gonna stick with the stamped control arm instead.
Well now I need to fine a good used right stamped control arm. Anybody has one for sale?

Thank You
