Default The Champagne "One Lap" B5/S4 is now (Update) 3rd in class after missing one entire track event....

at the One Lap of America race then coming back and doing exceedingly well at the next two by slaying the BMW. Now BMW's are the only cars ahead of us and the Dodge Charger SRT8, Mercedes E55 and all Cadillac CTS-V's are behind us. Bottom line is if we're holding on to 4th (updated to 3rd place overnight) after being the ONLY class entrant to miss one complete event maybe we aren't as bad off as originally thought! Still a lot of racing to do before it's over.

Current Class Standings

Default as of this morning we've moved into 3rd place. The info I'm receiving is...

specifically S4-related from the car owner/co driver so therefore I haven't heard any of what you have mentioned and can neither confirm or deny. In races such as this it's common for drivers to know what place they're in as they can call in from a cellphone but not have a clue how/why they got there or the immediate status of cars they're competing against. They drive a track then leave and drive to the next track 300, 500 or 1,000 miles away. Now that one of the M5's is behind us and only an M3 and M5 ahead of us it's entirely possible what you've said is true. Either way the S4 is doing FAR better at this point (knock wood) than any of us had hoped. And judging from the points increase overnight it would appear that every car in our class that started the event is still competing. If those cars wrecked they're still "in the race." Nary a single "DNF" listed in luxury sedan class yet.

Current Class Standings
