Check engine light comes on only when slowing down
Hello, i have an Audi 80, 4 cyl. 2.0, the car runs runs rough, the check engine light comes on. but the only time the check engine light comes on is when i am slowing down on freeway speed, such as 85 -75mph to 40-30mph the check engine light comes on briefly and then goes away. It repeats this scenario over and over again. Please does anyone knows what i need to look for? Thanks for your help.

Mine used to do this periodically.... my thoughts are o2 sensors, MAF, or Throttle position sensor
all messing with air/fuel mixture ratios. I suspect one of those 'cause none of them have been replaced and have, at one time or another, given me a code in the ECM.
