Default checking out my front tires, I found my front tires had been worn out to the steel belts...very bad.

what would cause this? bad tie rods? mis-alignment? bad camber? I have Toyo Proxy 4's in 215-40-ZR18. Now needing new tires so any recommenditons? I live in the PNW and it does rain. The Proxys seemed to hold up in the rain nicely.

Default Worn on the inner or outer side?

When is the last time you had an alignment with the 18's on?

Default Inner...

too much camber.

I'd recommend an alignment within a few miles of getting new tires. ;O)

Default why ask if its "inside/outside" if "too much camber" is the only answer he gets? ;-)

your answer is missing one very key word related to his answer to you.

Default i understand the difference between camber angle and toe in and toe out.

I do have a worn out F/R strut but I didnt think it would cause the D/R tire to wear in the same location as the F/R tire. The reason I asked about the tie rod (either side) is because my wifes S4 had the same problem and it was caused by the driver side tie rod.

Default Ya never really know what folks have got....

especially on a type written internet forum.

He could have other suspension problems? Worn components?

An alignment should identify them, and correct them.

Please, feel free to fill in anything I may have missed...

not just camber... "negative" camber. I figured thats why you were asking if it was inside/outside
