Default Cleaned MAF wires <partial rant>...

I did an oil change yesterday and decided to clean my MAF sensor...I doubt it's been done ever and I've been running a K&N for the past 4 years so it HAS to be filthy, right? Negative...

...after soaking and swishing the wires in carb cleaner for about 20-30 minutes (not spraying them directly), I reinstalled the MAF and went for a drive. I gotta say I noticed no difference; still have the unsteady acceleration and all. Oh well, maybe now I'll pass emissions.

Default Yup, yup, and....it has EFI, can I adjust the mix other than the CO/idle?

Of course, I do get backfires if I wind out 1st and shift quick....AND the bumper gets pretty sooty after a few weeks.

True, true. I'm waiting to hear a few feedbacks for that Bosch 357 kit.

Default She's a bit rich and/or burning some oil if it's doing that........

Injectors are probably #1, then stem seals.

Default My UrS4 does that too, but it's not oil, it is running rich.

So rich I used to get a big fireball to come out of my tailpipe when I had my catless, mid muffler-less 3" turbo back Scorpion on. The Stromung seems to quite those down a bit ;-)

Default Quite rich under load...consumes a quart/3k miles...

The injectors all tested within limits last year, and the plugs looked more or less the same light brown (and not oily) after 30k miles. I dunno, I'll just keep driving it hard and it'll fix itself [yea right].
