Default cluster guage

any one know how to take out the front glass of the instrument cluster. i tryd with no success and dont want to break anything.

You can't take the front plastic off it's part of the housing.

Default i bought a set of chrome rings on ebay

thats what im tring to install. im thinking id have to take it apart from the back end to get to the guage face.

Yup the whole cluster needs to come apart from the back.

Default WRONG! I have replaced mine. It is listed on the AUDI ETKA and runs....

about $132.00. Not that hard to change really if your are nimble and have time, patience and the right tools. And wear dustless gloves....it makes the job cleaner.

Default lika dis? Take cluster out, remove screws, I had to do some slight filing

to make them fit right...just depends on where you got the rings from. It's pretty easy.

Default Actually, the cluster housing is available...not just the front clear...

..."glass" section. But the whole plastic housing (that the gauges fit into and that the IC board mounts to.

That I'll give you, but ETKA shows no p/n for just the front "glass". It's sealed onto the rest of the housing.
