Default Code 2123

for the throttle switch....is it the little micro switch on top of the throttle body? or the throttle position sensor.
Get the code (check engine light)on constant when i'm coasting down a hill in gear, blip the throttle and it goes out.

Any ideas?
2.3 NG is the motor. 88 is teh car.

Default no throttle position sensor on the NG. Just the idle and WOT switches.

I was getting this code when my ISV was sticking open. Fixed the ISV and that throttle sensor code went away.

FYI... switch on the top of the throttle is the WOT switch, and there is a switch on the bottom for idle (closed throttle).

Default Would a sticky ISV in turn

cause a high/erratic idle? My idle speed is smooth and stable, I clean the little bastard on a reguular basis and eliminated the "oil injection".

So I should suspect a actual switch or circuit fault then?

Any way to source the switch from a place like Radio Shack?

TIA

Default my sticky ISV caused a very high/erratic idle...

engine rev'ing itself from 800rpm to 1500rpm in a constand cycle... because the ISV was stuck open, but the idle switch was engaged, it was modulating fuel pressure through the DFPR (little box on the fuel distributor with the 10ma signal) to control idle.

Touch the throttle, and it would rev up to 3000rpm... because of the air going through the wide-open ISV.

A switch could be sourced from an electronics supplier... but you'd have to search through parts catalogs to find ones that fit the same dimensions. I would love to pick up a new set from the stealership to see who makes their switches... then source those switches and return the harness to the stealership!

Default is the idle switch the same as the WOT switch on the top of the TB?

I haven't got a chance to dick with it yet..

I would assume these switches are NLA from the stealer? yes/no?

Default have to buy the switches as an entire harness. $120+

Top and bottom are not the same.
