Default cold start valve part # question

for the 88'90 at what point did the # change from 026 906 171A to 0280 170 434?
was it updated to a better design maybe?

Um? What? ETKA only shows 026 906 171 A for the 3A engine ('88 through '90)...

Default hmm odd

when I fired in the original part# to autohausAZ it came back with the other number as the # for an 1988 2.0 cold start valve. I just assumed that the valve was thus updated and the number changed.
every worldpac site I threw that number in came back with the same part.

Default 0280 170 434 <---that's more than likely the Bosch P/N, not Audi's...doesn't follow the typical..

...Audi p/n scheme.

Default ah, that is more logical

I was just thrown off by the tiny Audi logo on the valve itself.
I should of known better though that most OE parts start with 3 digits like 8A0, etc

just for the hell of it I will spot autohausAZ as being 16 bucks less then IPA and taylor both on the valve. Usually nobody beats those two.

Default Have you seen the new site I posted below?

...Cheap Import Auto Parts (non WorldPac/some stuff - well everything I've looked up - is cheaper)

Started by the guy who recently sold European Automotive...

Don't know what your prices are, but, they have it for $97.90 with a list of $136.98...

Default not until now.......thanks for the heads up

no kidding, that place has the valve for 97 bucks, better yet.
I don't see any mention of free shipping after $50 or so. If they charge the typical 8 bucks that will cut into the savings.
