Default Continuing saga of the oil leak

'93 90 s
Interesting development today.
I picked up new valve cover gaskets and put them in tonight.
When I took off the passenger side valve cover I noticed that there is a "breather" hose that goes behind the intake plenum to some sort of fitting/junction. That hose was broken completely !!!
Chaanged both cover gaskets and replaced that length of broken hose.
I'm cautiously optimistic my leak is no more.
Whaat does that breather hose connect to and what does it do?
Thanks

It allows the oil vapor to enter the intake manifold, and get burned in the engine! ;O)

Do you think the leak can be gone?
