Default YES... it's easy stuff... block drain plug - I'll tell you how / where / etc.

Alright, jack the thing up, and slide under it... by no means is this a weekend job, it's damn easy. Better to do it the right way the first time.

It's an allen head, I believe it's stainless, and it's rather shiny. It's the only allen you'll clearly see facing you when you're under the car.

The location is behind the oil pan... near where the trans and engine meet, on the driver-side of the flywheel.

When removing it, go slow. It'll either pour out like a MF, or nothing will drain out. Careful, there's a rubber o-ring/washer on the drainplug - see what kind of shape it's in and replace it if it looks pitted. After the plug is out, get yourself a coathanger or a thin, long screwdriver and jam it up into the drain hole. What happens is, deposits collect around the top of the drain plug, so now that you're finally draining it here, it clogs up - compare it to soup skin... like a film or buildup within your block.

Use some quick flush and flush the cooling system a few times. If this is the first time you, or for that matter, anyone else is pulling that drain plug, it'll be rather crusty.

Also, be sure you use RED / ORANGE Dexcool coolant only... retailly, Prestone is best. Do NOT use the green coolant, even if that's what you drained out; green coolant doesn't belong in there. If you had green coolant, that's an even better reason to flush the cooling system a few times with radiator flush. Oh, and make sure you used distilled water.

Good luck...
