Could turning the compressor on and off repeatedly make it quit working? What happens....

They were a shop AAA told me to go to that would check to see what was in my cooling system, .....

I wouldn't expect ANY shop to break my compressor.

I DO hope you are right. but the compressor DID come on before, even with no freon or whatever.
