I installed newer (3pin) generation coolant temp. sender on my CQ to address false AutoCheck overheating alarms and non-responsive temp gauge today. AutoCheck is no longer flipping out every 5 minutes, but the gauge is still barely moving. What is the problem?

Hate to break this to everyone, but (Sam Kennison voice) "its Winter outside!" ;O)
There's always a rash of temp gauge questions around the begininning of winter...
Outside air temps play a major role in temp gauge

Maybe you've glued your bra to the front of the car and the sloppy adhesive job isn't allowing any cooling air through the grille. Just a thought. The one you sold me seemed to have that problem.
