Default crankshaft position sensor and thermostat replacement

need help replacing the thermostat and cranckshaft position sensor on my audi.

symptoms car is very slow to warm up to temperature takes about half an hour. no leaks just open thermostat.

car stalls occassionally seems its going to cut power then suddenly ressurrects. also idle is not stable. sometimes often even i have starting problems.

i have identified cranckshaft sensor and thermostat as the potential parts that needs done.

Hi Stoiko..In the USA we got the 2.8 V6 engines. There would not be a lot of local knowledge about the 1.6 engine. That said it looks like s very close to a VW 1.8 engine. In that case the thermostat is right beside the water pump, down below the alternator and A/C compressor (if you have A/C) The crankshaft sensor has to be reading the ring gear on the flywheel somewhere. I found a picture of an ADU engine with a red thermostat cover below the red coolant manifold.
